Launch, Variants and Price
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz had hit the dealership in India in August 2018 with a starting price of Rs 8.19 lakh. This new facelifted version has received upgraded styling cues after almost four years since its launch. It was first launched in 2014.
The restyled Ciaz is available in four variants, which include the Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Each of the primary variants is available in both petrol diesel versions. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz price of the top-range diesel Alpha trim bears a price tag of around Rs, 11 lakhs.
Power under the hood
The facelifted 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz derives its power from a new 1.5-litre K-Series petrol motor enhanced further with a mild hybrid technology. This engine produces a maximum power of 103 bhp and churns out a peak torque of 138 Nm.
The refreshed version of the Ciaz retains the same 1.3-litre turbo diesel mill that can generate a top power of 89 bhp and deliver 200 Nm of peak torque.
The petrol version offers 21.56 kmpl mileage for the manual gearbox variant and 20.28 kmpl mileage for the automatic trim. The mileage of the diesel versions is rated at 28.09 kmpl.
The biggest change – external styling
The new 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz retains the overall silhouette but portrays a new persona and a completely new face. The front portion receives a new bumper featuring bigger and more robust intakes. The major restyling elements also include a new grille and a new headlamp cluster featuring projector lamps and DRLs. New LED tail lights give a refreshing touch to the rear end.
The new Ciaz now offers seven colour options and three wheel choices to pick from.
Inside the cabin
The interior of the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift has not received major upgrades. The beige coloured cabin features new upholstery and faux wood inserts. Smartphone connectivity includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and the latest ‘Suzuki Connect’ telematics system. Completing the revising job are the new colour instrumentation console, cruise control and a new steering wheel.
Some of the active safety features are rear defogger, reverse parking sensor, anti-theft security system and speed alert system.
