Janina Gavankar’s (Luna) film Satellite of Love will be getting a premiere very soon! The indie film is slated to have its world premiere at the Dallas International Film Festival according to a press release from the festival. Directed by Will Moore, Satellite of Love finds Gavankar playing a DJ named Michelle who is invited by Samuel to a vineyard for a week long party he puts on for friends whose wedding he missed:

To atone for his absence at their wedding, globe-trotting and hard-partying musician, Samuel, invites his best friend Blake, a successful chef, and Blake’s new wife Catherine (with whom Samuel has previously shared both a bed and a bond) to idyllic Nadi Vineyards for a week-long party in paradise.  Samuel imports cosmopolitan DJ, Michelle, from Barcelona to stir the pot. Stars Nathan Phillips, Zachary Knighton, Shannon Lucio and Janina Gavankar.

Satellite of Love will be in the Texas Competition category, which in partnership with Panavision will be offering a $30,000 camera rental package to the winning filmmaker.

Dallas International Film Festival will run from April 12-22, 2012. To buy your passes click here.
