Celebrate Kristin Bauer van Straten’s Birthday, Do Good, and Win Cool Stuff!

Kristin Bauer van Straten (Pamela Sywnford de Beaufort) is awesome and not just for the character that she plays on TV. In fact, when she’s not shooting for True Blood, guest starring on shows like Once Upon a Time, or for her new movie the Story of Luke; Kristin spends a lot of time doing stuff for others. Like going to events all over the United States and more recently Canada to meet her fans. Or advocating tirelessly for the rights of animals such as chimpanzees by creating awareness using the power of Twitter and Facebook and lending her support to many animal-centered organizations.

Because Kristin does do so many good things for other people, we here at True Blood Fan Source decided that it was time to do something good for her. We asked our friends at Eric Northman.net if they felt the same way and they agreed. It just so happens that Kristin has a birthday coming up on November 26th so we came up with the idea of donating to one of her causes as a way to celebrate her birthday and do something good at the same time. We then pitched the idea to other fansites such as Kristin Bauer Online, Alexander Skarsgård Fans, A Skarsgård.com, Allan Hyde News, Eric and Sookie Lovers,  Kristin Bauer Fans, True-Blood.net and A-Skarsgard.net they all agreed to help and spread the word.

So we told Kristin all of this and she said that the Amanda Foundation would benefit tremendously from any funds that we raise. The Amanda Foundation for those who don’t know, rescues dogs and cats from city facilities in Los Angeles and keeps them until they can find homes for them with new families.

The goal of this charity project which will begin October 26 and end on Kristin’s birthday, November 26th is to raise $1000. So to encourage people to donate, we’ve arranged to give away some fabulous prizes!

* Kristin has graciously offered up autographs and copies of her husband Abri van Straten’s fabulous CD “Sunlight and Shadows” for three lucky donors.

* VMODA has agreed to donate a pair of ReVamp Earbuds as well as a pair of V-80 headphones for two donors.

* FMCG Manufacturing will be donating two cases of Tru Blood; one glass and one plastic that will be split up for several winners to share.

* HoneyCat Cosmetics will also be giving away two sets of their vampire beauty products which will consist of a Blood Sudz Shower Gel, Heme Dream Pomegranate Bath Fizzy, and Don’t “B” Negative Body Scrub!

* Added 11/9/2011! Kristin has added a print of her drawing of Alexander Skarsgard to the giveaway!

For every $10 you donate, you’ll get one entry into our giveaway and for every $20 you donate you’ll get three entries. This will go on all the way through November 26th, Kristin’s birthday! Starting October 26,  fans will be able to enter our giveaway for the Amanda Foundation using the Paypal Widget to the right, the button at the bottom of this post, or on any of the participating sites listed above. Your donation is also tax deductible. It will be given straight to the Amanda Foundation after the donation period ends. Their Federal Tax ID Number is: 51-0183667.

As you can see,  there are many prizes so there are multiple chances for people to win. And just in case you’re not convinced yet, at the end of the donation period we will sign the names of EVERYONE who has donated to one giant birthday card and give it to Kristin to remember this birthday!

We’re celebrating Kristin for an entire month in honor of all the good things that she does on a daily basis. So please consider donating! It’s for a very worthy cause, you have a chance to win some pretty cool stuff, and Kristin will have a giant card telling her just how great her fans are!
